Franklin County Building Department Garage

A&C was contracted by Franklin County to provide design, bidding and construction administration services for the construction of a new 2,100 SF Building Department Garage to be used for the County’s equipment and vehicle storage. Designed with long-term durability, functionality and future expansion in mind, the building houses all of the necessary features required to support the operations of Franklin County’s Building Department.

Features of the garage include:

· Office Space for Weights and Measures Department with ADA acessablity features

· Six overhead doors

· IT and Mechanical Rooms

· LED lighting and electric heating

Site work required to support the functions of the garage included a new asphalt entryway and parking lot, installation of a new concrete walkway, and lawn restoration, in addition to the design of utility, water and on-site septic system. As the project impacted the public bus stop, our civil engineering team assisted with the planning and relocation of the service.
