Highway Facility
Greig, NY
The new 8,400 SF project included the design of building, roadways/driveways, parking lot, green space, landscape architecture, lighting plans, and water and sanitary layout. It was extremely important to use LEED principles in the design process, with the goal of optimal energy efficiency and savings.
The facility includes:
- 6 bay pre-engineered steel building
- 1,200 sf mezzanine area with office space, breakrooms, and locker area with restrooms
- Insulated wall panel system
- Energy efficient roof insulation system
- Standing seam metal roof
- Highland oil-water separator and holding tank
- Gas fired unit heaters
- Heat recovery ventilation system for humidity control in conjunction with a carbon monoxide detection system
- Emergency generator system.
