TILT Otter Creek Preservation Nature Trail

Aubertine and Currier was contracted by the Thousand Islands Land Trust to perform Survey, Structural and Civil/Site Engineering Services for the development of nature trails on their 100+ acre Otter Creek property.  

Design Included:

• 8  trail segments totaling over 1.4 miles through forests, meadows, wetlands, and upland habitats
• 1,600' wood chip mulch walking trail
• 1,500’ stone dust trail designed as accessible per NYS DEC ADA Accessibility Standards for Outdoor Recreation Facilities
• 840' x 12’ wide crushed stone driveway
• 60' x 80' crushed stone parking area with an entrance sign and a 2 sided kiosk
• Steel cable suspension wood pedestrian bridge connecting the trails
• 2-story wooden platform wildlife observation tower
