Key Project:
The NEST and Strand Theater Building Renovation
Aubertine and Currier provided Structural Engineering services for the renovation and revitalization of The Strand Theater and the NEST, a community co-working space. The once underutilized building now features a functioning performance venue and serves as a dynamic community resource.
Public co-working spaces, including offices, conference rooms, lounges and the only rooftop deck in the City of Watertown can be found at the newly renovated NEST, designed for community members and professionals alike.
Adjacent to this facility sits another community resource, the Strand Theater. With all the amenities a guest or host could ask for, including a kitchenette, bar, dining area, and a fully functioning theater room, groups of all sizes can enjoy the theater's offerings. The second floor also houses an enclosed theater balcony and lounge overlooking the stage for a private viewing experience. The successful completion of this renovation transformed the once underutilized space into a vital community resource, one that is elegant, yet flexible enough to host an event of any size or function.
