Key Project:

Watertown Savings Bank - Alexandria Bay Branch

Alexandria Bay, NY

Aubertine and Currier (A&C) supplied Architectural, Structural Engineering, Civil/Site Engineering, and Land Surveying services for the WSB Alexandria Bay Branch Renovation Project.  Land Surveying Design services included a topographic survey of the two parcels located at the 4 Market Street location (approximately 0.72 acres), and a topographic survey map of the project area prepared by a Professional Land Surveyor. All mapping was delivered in AutoCAD 2017 format referencing horizontally to the NYS Plane Grid Coordinate System NAD83, and vertically to NAVD88.

A&C Civil/Site Engineering services involved conceptual site planning, preliminary site plan and final site plan submission, and final design and permit submission. An expansion of the parking lot along the Walton Street side of the building, along with a conversion of the upper parking lot into greenspace (lawn) was part of the design.

Architectural and Structural Engineering services entailed schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration services. The A&C design for the WSB Alexandria Bay Branch was developed around the existing large, impressive steel bank vault located on the property.  Care was taken to not disturb the vault, and preserve its original state.  Throughout the construction process, meticulous attention was paid to the adjacent professional office space at the back of the building in order to not disrupt the law office’s day-to-day business.

A&C partnered with Jade Stone Engineering for the Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering design work involved in the project.
